Hopping | What to Read | Traci Shupert Photography
My brain is swimming with all kinds of ideas and thoughts on reading today. One of my coworkers let me borrow her Educational Leadership magazine, and it just so happened to be all about reading. Reading a few of the articles reignited my passion for what I believe about reading and the teaching of reading. When I came home, I fired up Google Reader (which if you don't have, you must get), and was greeted by a blog post from one of my friends on reading. Please go check it out before continuing because it will build your background knowledge (or as I like to call it - schema) for what will be coming next. Here's the link: http://keepingoftime.blogspot.com/
Make sure you read Part 1 and Part 2.

Okay, I posted it on my fb status since I'm already a fan :)
Will try and post on my blog as well!
Hope all is well with you!
Shupert! I posted the link on my fb, too! Looks like a good book with a good author. The quote from the author on your friend's site is impressive.
Wow Traci, what a surprise to find this when I opened up my google reader today. And I hadn't even posted the last two parts of my reading series yet...I checked the book out of the library and read it in two settings. It inspired me so much to continue reading with my kids -- and not just reading anything from the library, but to be more intentional about what I'm reading. I was already a huge fan of reading -- and thought of you the entire time I wrote my post -- but that book really fired me up again. I hope you enjoy it, as much as your lucky winner.
